Yellow River Landscaping is a full service lawn and landscape company located in Covington, Ga serving Covington, Oxford, Monroe, and Social Circle. Officially established in March of 2021 and founded by Jacob Jensen and Trace Nicholson, both born and raised in Covington, Ga. 

We at Yellow River Landscaping are driven by one common goal - to elevate the standard of lawn care and landscaping in our community, (Covington, GA) by delivering an unparalleled level of quality and professionalism while building lasting relationships. 

About the owners - We met each other long before Yellow River Landscaping, we first met playing youth flag football at the local Covington YMCA then met once again in freshman year of high school at Eastside in Covington. Our first few years of high school were spent like any other student, wake up, go to class, and go home. That all changed in 2020 with Covid. During that time we found ourselves doing online school and having a lot of free time. After our junior year of highschool, that summer we both got jobs working at Master Landscape Supply, this is where our lawn and landscape journey began. When we started working at Master’s we knew nothing about the industry other than how to use a push mower, and we were not very good at that. Once we started working we discovered a passion for landscaping and started to learn everything we could about the industry. With help from Mark Smith and Tim Reed the owners of Master’s we became very knowledgeable of the industry but still lacked crucial experience. 

As we worked at Masters we spent a majority of our time in customer service, helping contractors load materials and assisting in educating homeowners on best practices. While doing this every once in a while a customer would request us to install plants, mulch, pinestraw and more. We immediately took the opportunity to make some extra cash and in doing so is where we saw an opportunity to make something of ourselves. We spent all of 2020 working at Master’s and doing odd jobs on the side that were too small for busy contractors. 

In March of 2021 is when we first decided to take the leap and start Yellow River Landscaping. We left Master’s and started working for ourselves. This time was hard, we didn’t have much work and were still in high school. We would spend half the day in class and half the day working because we were a part of Eastside’s work based learning program. 

Since March of 2021 we have continuously improved all aspects of our business. We are 100% devoted to our mission to raise the standard. Throughout the years we have learned success comes from three key elements: a strong team, quality work, and outstanding customer service. One can't exist without the others, and we’re committed to delivering all three with every job. We have taken the steps to recruit and hire the best people, who will do the best work, so we can give our community the best customer experience.

In 2025 we will continue to improve so that we can complete our goal - to elevate the standard of lawn care and landscaping in our community, (Covington, GA) by delivering an unparalleled level of quality and professionalism while building lasting relationships.
